When it comes to tangles, there is nothing worse than crying from pulling your hair out with a brush that just doesn’t do it. I know, I have been there many times. For the most part, I have always had long hair. I still remember that sensation of a horrible brush ripping through my hair as if trying to remove my scalp.
I no longer have to deal with the dreadful pain of brushing my hair. I’ve tried many products and come across some that are really worth it. Below I will share with you 5 hairbrushes that make brushing your hair a pleasant experience. Prepare to finally conquer the tangles!
Plugged In Tangle Tamer is one of my personal favorite brushes to use. It is small, fits nicely in the palm of your hand, and won’t slip out if you have hair products on your hands. It really feels like you are not holding the brush at all. The handle fits in between your fingers. You really don’t get the sense of holding anything at all.
This really allows you to work with your hair without having to worry about gripping a handle or it slipping out of your hands. Another great feature about this brush is that you can use it on wet or dry hair and it works just as great. I use it in the shower sometimes while having conditioner in my hair.
The Tangle Teezer
Similar to the Tangle Tamer, this brush is also promising. The bristles are positioned differently than the Tangle Tamer. The Tangle Teezer bristles are positioned more squarely. Also, there is no handle to go in between your fingers to hold the brush. You hold it mostly with the palm of your hand and your fingertips. You can use this brush on wet or dry hair.
Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Trio Set
This Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Brush also has specific shampoo and leave-in conditioner they call leave-in detangler. It is similar to the other brushes but this one has the handle. If you like having a handle, then this brush is for you. It is also available in great vivid colors to brighten up the experience.
Cricket Ultra Smooth Detangling Brush
This brush is ergonomically designed and has gentle bristles to help you minimize the pain. Argan oil, olive oil, and keratin proteins have been applied to the tips of the bristles. These are helpful in nourishing your hair and helping to get those pesky tangles out.

Tangle Tamer - My Personal Favorite
While all of these brushes are really designed well to do their jobs, the Tangle Tamer is my personal favorite. There are a few reasons behind that.
First, Tangle Tamer is really comfortable to hold. It just nestles neatly into the palm of your hand. You don’t even feel like you’re holding a brush to begin with.
Second, you don’t have to worry about dropping it. This is especially true when your hands are sticky and slippery from hair products that you might have applied onto your hair before starting to brush it.
Third, of all the other brushes, I personally feel that Tangle Tamer is the easiest to work with. I think it gets rid of the tangles much faster than the other brushes. I have thick, color treated hair and when I get tangles, boy do I get them.
And another point, is that I have not had to change this brush for quite some time. It has been over two years that I have had it. It works just as great as when I first bought it.
I love how it fits into the palm of my hand. I don’t have to have a handle to worry about. The best part is that it feels like I am not even holding this brush. It also won’t fall out of my hands if they’re sticky with hair products.
I also really love how the bristles are positioned. They seem to cut the brushing time in half. I also don’t feel any pain when I brush with this particular brush.
