Why and How
I have to admit, I also have stretch marks. Most of us, girls, do. It is just a simple but annoying fact of life. We get stretch marks. I got mine even before I got pregnant with my precious baby boy. Some people get them for no apparent reason. Some get them when they hit puberty. The reasons are as diverse as we, girls, are.
I’m yet to come across a girl who has stretch marks that she’s perfectly ok with. We all want to get rid of them. We all want them to, poof, disappear. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to get rid of them completely, unless you go under surgery. There is, however, a way to minimize their appearance and make them become almost invisible.
My Stretch Mark Story
In my case, it was because I gained too much weight. I was going through a stressful period in my life and my job was draining all my energy out of me. I ate too much. Well, regardless of the reasons, I ended up with the famous stretch marks that up until that point I never imagined I would ever have to deal with.
My dear friend and mentor told me that alas, there was nothing that we could do to make them disappear, but there were products up her sleeve that we created to treat and make their appearance less of a nuisance to me.
Here are the products that she recommended to me and the order in which to apply them. She also told me to do this everyday twice a day. After about eight to ten weeks, she said that their red appearance would dim in color and their large scar like texture would shrink to become more like little cut lines. She said then after that eventually it would make the pink color go away and I would end up with little lines that were not so visible after all.
To my great relief, what she has said has come true. I vigorously used these products day in and day out until one day I noticed that they really did lose their awfully bright red/purple coloration and shrank in size. Now I have the memory of what they used to be like. Luckily for me, they are really just little lines that go across various parts of my body without really being that visible anymore. (Also, the more weight I lose, the smaller they become.)
Products and Order of Application
Below I will show the products I use for my stretch marks and the order in which my beauty adviser told me to apply them. She also told me to do this twice a day every day for at least 8 weeks in order to see serious and significant results. I followed her orders exactly and I have to admit it really did help. I hope it helps you as much as it did me. It should since these are exactly the right products to use to help treat stretch marks.
Step 1 - Oxygenating Body Scrub
According to the instructions from my beauty adviser who is a licensed cosmetologist with over 50 years of hands on practice, I used this Oxygenating Body Scrub twice a day, morning and evening in the showers, applying it only to the affected areas.
What that does is hydrates the skin (as the name suggests, oxygenating) and prepares it to be more accepting of treatment.
In the showers, morning and evening, apply just a tiny drop of this scrub onto the affected areas. Rub it on there firmly but gently for about 1 – 3 minutes and rinse.
Pat dry when you get out of the shower.

Step 2 - Stretch Mark Cream
The second step you do morning and evening after the Oxygenating Body Scrub in the shower is use this Stretch Mark Cream. Make sure you pat dry your skin when you get out of the shower and not rub the towel all over yourself. This helps your skin to retain moisture more while also preventing your skin from being irritated by the towel rubbing on you.
TIP: Make sure you pat dry your skin when you get out of the shower. Do not rub your towel over your skin. Pat drying helps your skin to retain moisture and not become irritated from the towel rubbing on your skin.
Follow Up Care
Once you see significant improvements, do not stop using these creams. I still use them about once a week just to maintain my stretch marks treatment routine. Even if you do these steps once a month once you take your stretch marks under control, it still will be better than not to do anything about them because, in the end, they need maintaining just like your face or other parts of your body do.
TIP: Continue to use these products at least once a month once you get your stretch marks under control. This will ensure that you maintain the upper hand and not the pesky stretch marks.
