Biggest Beauty Trends of 2019

The new 2019 year is here now! Goodbye 2018. Hello 2019! I hope you had a great time saying farewell to the old year. According to Pinterest, we know the biggest beauty trends of 2019 now. If you want to stay up to date, read on. If you are the kind of person who likes to follow the trends, but also look your best, this is the website for you.

I disagree with blindly following whatever is dictated to be the ‘trend’, but I also know how to pick and choose what’s hot and make it work for me. Let’s dive in to see what is going on in 2019 when it comes to hair, baby hair bangs, almond nails, bold lipstick and other 2019 trends.

Lilac Hair

2019 is full of colorful new hair styles. One of them is the prominent purple/lilac hair color. If you would like to test it out, I suggest you make sure you take into consideration your skin complexion, your eye color, your eyebrows, and your hair length. If you are a bold kind of girl who likes to try new hairstyles, that is great!

My advise: make sure you pick the lilac tone that will work best for your complexion.

Going Grey

Going grey is also on the rise in the charts for hairstyle trends in 2019. If you ever wanted to try grey hair, now is the time! Works out great for those of us who might already spot a few natural grey hair.

Same as with the lilac hair, there are a ton of colors out there that fall under this category but not all will look the same on everyone. Your eyes, skin tone, and other features, together with your preferences, will come into play when choosing the right grey color for yourself.

Yep, you heard it right. The sweet, forever-make-you-look-younger bangs are back. This is the kind of hairstyle that you can never go wrong with because there are a million and one versions out there and counting. From cropped bangs to baby bangs to just any bangs that look best for your face type and preferences, you can’t go wrong with bangs!

Bold Lip Colors

In 2019, if you ever wanted to try any of those bold lipsticks that you just weren’t sure about… go for it! Reds, pinks, any bold colors that make your lips stand out are in style in 2019. Get yourself a few shades that you would have never tried on otherwise! Here are a few that I recommend that will work really well and are long lasting:

Lime Crime Velvetines Long Lasting Liquid Matte Lipstick - Red Rose

This is a no nonsense lipstick that delivers. I love lipstick that can last me longer than the next time I take a sip of water. The beautiful red color, the matte finish, everything about this particular lipstick works for me on many levels and I highly recommend you try it if you haven’t already.

Always wanted to learn how to transform your lips into a work of art? Search no more. This is the ultimate took that is perfect for both beginners and experienced make up artists. I highly recommend you learn how to contour your lips with this great kit by Aesthetica.

Almond Shaped Nails

Yep, almond shaped nails are in this year. This feminine shape can be both extreme and mild, depending on your preference and what looks best. If you have never tried doing your own nails, but always wanted to, check out my vlog post on how to do your own manicure and how to learn to paint your own nails. Once you master this skill, no matter what nails are in style, you will be able to change/update/fix them up in a blink of an eye.

If you don’t care about doing it yourself, no problem. Just make sure you go to a reputable salon and ask them to use a new manicure tool set on you. Even with all the sterilization that goes on, you still might want to consider purchasing a completely new manicure cuticle nippers set for yourself that you just bring with you to your appointment each time. That way you are surely guaranteed that your cuticle nippers and other tools in your kit belong only to you and no one else.

I recommend these manicure tools, but you can also ask your manicure artist whether their salon will sell you one of their new cuticle nippers. (Nail places always have them in stock. They have to, since they never know when they might need to open a new one in case their tool breaks.)
